HUP Annual meeting

All members of the district are welcome to attend the district annual meeting. Individual members of the district have the right to attend and speak at the annual meeting. Voting rights are reserved only for voting representatives appointed by the local branches.

The meeting invitation will be sent by email to the chairpersons of the branches.

Helsinki and Uusimaa District Annual Meeting – 25 April 2026

The annual meeting of the HUP District will be held on Saturday, 25 April 2026, in Espoo.

Venue

The meeting will take place at Haukilahden Lukio (high school), Tekniikantie 3, 02150 Espoo.

The meeting venue is approximately a 10‑minute walk from Aalto University metro station where you can arrive by metro, several busses, and the light rail line 15. Buses 52 and 111 departing from the metro station stop at Vuorimies, from where it is about a 3‑minute walk to the venue. There is ample space in front of the school for those arriving by bicycle or carpool.

From 9:00 registration for the annual meeting and workshops, verification of powers of attorney

9:00–10:00 morning coffee

10:00–10:45 workshop I

11:00–11:45 workshop II

11:45–12:30 lunch

Advance registration

Please register for the annual meeting no later than 17 April 2026 via this link or by phone at +358 40 594 8143 / Eine Sahlakoski.

Advance registration is required for catering arrangements (coffee and lunch). Please inform us of any special dietary requirements when registering.

Notification of voting representatives

Branches must notify their voting representatives who exercise decision-making authority in advance by submitting a power of attorney. See the power of attorney template.

We kindly request that powers of attorney be submitted in advance as an email attachment to hup.neuvonta@redcross.fi. Submitting them in advance will speed up registration on the morning of the meeting. Powers of attorney may also be submitted in person at the registration desk.

Decision-making authority

Decision-making authority at the annual meeting is exercised by the voting representatives of the branches. Each branch is entitled to one representative for every commenced 100 members of the branch. The reference date for determining the number of members is the last day of the previous year.
