Welcome to HUP!

The Finnish Red Cross Helsinki and Uusimaa District (HUP) coordinates, develops and supports Red Cross activities in the Uusimaa region. Volunteer activities in our area are organised by 43 local branches. Other Red Cross actors in our region include the Finnish Red Cross National Headquarters, the Youth Shelter, the Kontti recycling department store chain, the Blood Service, and Red Cross First Aid, which provides first aid training.

HUP employees support volunteer activities and develop and coordinate operations within their own areas of responsibility. Together with the various actors of our organisation and our partners, we strengthen regional preparedness and promote social wellbeing. We encourage everyone to take part in building a more sustainable and safer living environment.
