The Hunger Day, organized every year in September-October, is the main campaign of the Finnish Red Cross, where we collect funds for the disaster relief fund.

Join and help!

The Hunger Day collection on the last weekend of September is a pleasant way for many to volunteer and help others. Collecting donations is easy and rewarding: in just one hour, you can collect enough to provide vital help to someone in need.

Next Hunger Day box collection will be organized 25-27 September, 2025.

You can join as a collector alone or with a friend, and in many places, you can even bring a dog as a companion. Many participate with colleagues, school classes, or family. Children can collect with an adult.

Check the menu below for the most suitable place for you to pick up a collection box and vest. Bring a photo ID with you, as you will need it when picking up and returning the collection materials.
