  Helsinki announced the opening of the swimming season on May 26, 2025. Have you already taken your first swim of the year? In Uusimaa, you can explore a different beach every day in the summer, as our area has nearly 200 beaches!

  A nice way to get to know the local nature is a guided nature walk. There are even free options available. A joint calendar has been compiled for nature walks in the capital region (Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, Vantaa): How about a nocturnal bat walk in Tullisaari or a mushroom trip to Petikko?
