The preparedness exercise Chain of Help 2025 has started!

On November 10, the Helsinki and Uusimaa district launched the nationwide Red Cross preparedness exercise Chain of Help 2025 with a week-long leadership drill. The week will culminate in functional exercises on Friday and Saturday, November 14–15.

The leadership exercise includes practicing tasks such as welcoming new volunteers, gathering situational awareness, and considering diversity in aid situations.

Chain of Help will peak with functional exercises on November 14–15.

Preparatory webinar on November 14, 5–7 PM

On Friday, November 14, a situational awareness webinar will be held to guide participants for the functional exercises. Everyone taking part is warmly welcome! The webinar will be held in Finnish. Join here (Teams link)

Functional exercises November 14–15, 2025

Seven functional preparedness exercises will be held in our area:

  • Porvoo: November 14 and 15
  • Vantaa, Myyrmäki: November 15
  • Espoo, Leppävaara: November 15
  • Helsinki, Kallio: November 15
  • Helsinki, Malminkartano: November 15
  • Nurmijärvi: November 15 (tabletop exercise)

In these regional exercises, we will practice setting up assembly and evacuation points, meeting those in need, and providing meals or food aid.
